Keychain Cameras Look Natural Everywhere
In reality, the applications for hidden cameras are only limited by the human imagination and we have seen an amazing variety of places and items that can house a hidden camera for your covert recording needs. People have all manner of reasons for recording, within a personal or business environment, but they should make sure they do not fall foul of any regulations governing the recording of people’s actions or voices without their knowledge.
The trick behind hidden surveillance is of course to stop the other party finding out. Therefore, the camera must be craftily concealed within an everyday item, the presence of which the person under scrutiny would not find to be unusual within that specific environment. After all, while the cameras may be placed within every day items, not all of these items may naturally appear in a certain type of room.
Keychain cameras are another amazing example of technology in the surveillance industry. They look exactly like one of those remote car key fobs but actually contain a hidden camera complete with audio and video. This is quite a clever idea as a set of car keys, complete with the fob, will not appear out of place as many people leave them in plain view.
If you leave the keychain camera attached to a set of keys in an ideal place within your target room, you will be able to record what is going on in that room for an extended period of time without arousing suspicion. Just make sure that the lens is pointed in your required direction for the best view. Up to 8 GB of audiovisual files can be recorded which is more than enough for most situations.
A miniature DVR is inserted within a keychain camera and this gives you up to three hours of recordable memory. You must connect to a personal computer to be able to store the output as it is just a flash memory, but by attaching the included USB cord you can view the recorded material through conventional software applications.
Miniature surveillance devices such as the keychain camera are able to operate alone without any external power sources or drivers. Due to this flexibility, you can record results within almost every environment and not be worried about cables or other attachments.
Don’t expect a keychain camera to give you perfect high-resolution imagery and note that you are using it for a specific purpose. The output is quite reasonable, however as the camera records at 29 frames per second and its video resolution is set at 640×480. If you are looking for very high quality output you probably need to select a regular camera, but remember your purpose.
Choose wisely when you are selecting a hidden camera contained within an everyday item. There is a great deal of choice and you should be able to find something for every conceivable environment. Don’t be tempted to choose an illuminated “exit” sign hidden camera if you are going to use it within your home, as these are only seen in public places and would be sure to arouse suspicion!
