A huge mistake that people make is that they try to be someone they are not.  Instead of setting the goal to make as many connections as possible they push too hard with the goal of selling.  Your network increases by the amount of people you help.  Right now, those individuals may not support your cause, but maybe in due time they will.  Construct a solid foundation, a good reputation, and your network will increase drastically. 

Making people feel comfortable with you and not making feel pressured is the first thing to remember.  Don’t be arrogant, just act with confidence.  Do not be overbearing.  You should get the people you are in front of to speak with others.  Always be sincere with your words.  If you believe in what you are talking about, others will believe you as well.

The interactive section may have both a Q&A area, but also a discussion board.  Debate and get people excited about what they are talking about and invite conversation.  They can be involved in coming up with solutions and feeling part of the business already.  It may be a good idea, as this will cause interest to increase, and provide a better chance of conversion.   Listen and understand what is being said and let the audience lead. 

To make people laugh be sure to smile and throw in a few jokes.  Laughter makes people more willing to listen and more comfortable and relaxed.  The body language of your’s must be friendly and welcoming.  Let people know that you are sincere by having an honest look in your eyes and a relaxed demeanor.

Personal appearances to promote your business work well if you can get a great response from your audience.  Take full advantage of it when you have this opportunity.  Simply by providing the information people need, people will recognize your well thought out website.  These people will have a desire to work with you, if they like you.  They will have faith in you, and because of that they will trust the business and their potentional of success in it.  They will buy into YOU.
