Ever heard the expression ‘Out with the old, in with the new’? I am sure you have. In my opinion, that phrase describes perfectly the ever-changing world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). As I wrote this article, the number of searches for this keyword was at 309M! Quite a bit, don’t you think? Realistically speaking, what would be your chances of getting to the first page of those search results?

On the other hand, search for /successful work from home business opportunity/ yielded 47M results, which is still very high, but obviously much better than 309M. It will be significantly easier to be in the front of the pack for this keyword. (Tip: ideally you want to stay under 300K search volume, although the number is very subjective. The less, the better, in other words.)

VERY IMPORTANT: it’s better to rank high for a lower-search volume keyword than low for a high-search volume keyword.

Let’s put theory into practice now: how do we find the right keywords to go for?

The simplest way and a good place to start is to go back to Google and use the search box to see how popular the keywords you came up with are. Again, the lower the number, the better. 300K is a good starting point. You might have to try out a few different ways to get the right results, but you will eventually find the right keywords to boost your MLM lead generation.
