These managers are considering all of the popular social sites for the person in question to get a feel for how the individual conducts themselves.  The managers are expecting to see an innocent chat or dialogue that displays a potential new hire with professionalism , reliability, and tact.

In a sense, potential workers are being examined beyond the resume.  Managers will be looking at the chat rooms a person participates in, the various pictures chosen for any profile and the written messages sent to friends and families.  All of the items help the manager to really see the person that they are contemplating hiring.

Seek Out Good Connections
To be able to put the social networks to make use of, people need to follow the same advice that has been used for years: go in which the decision makers are.  This means searching for groups relevant to a particular industry.  Brush up on the lingo and stay up to date on the latest changes whether it is political, technology or personnel.  Start contributing to discussions in a way that shows your knowledge favorably.  Also, look for recruiters that {focus on the} industry {of your} choosing.  Come up with an elevator pitch so that when recruiters or staffing agencies ask you what you really are searching for you already have {an answer}.  Finally, once you have designed a few connections and created a few relationships, be sure to let those individuals know that you are seeking for employment.
